Former 2011/2012 Champions League Semifinalists of FC Barcelona and Chelsea clash once again to see out Tuesday afternoon's set of UEFA Champions League fixtures.
The long awaited return of the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League is back after a 3 week hiatus with Spanish giants of Barcelona heading to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea for the first time in 8 years. The two teams stay even on the charts, with Barca (11th place in UCL) going 4 straight matches undefeated in all competitions, and Chelsea (12th place in the UCL) on a rampant 5 game undefeated streak since the end of October. A win tonight for either side puts them up to 10 points with a 3-1-1 record, so get ready for one bold classic matchup you won't want to miss.
Barcelona are feeling the aura of a brand new home stadium for the first time since playing at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys for the entirety of last season although they will head to Chelsea territory for this afternoon. Since their loss to Real Madrid at the end of October, Barca have stayed undefeated for 4 straight matches, only drawing Club Brugge 3-3 in their last Champions League showing. Most recently, the Catalans earned their first clean sheet in 2 months with a crushing 4-0 victory over Athletic Club, which saw Robert Lewandowski make a prompt comeback to the squad with the opening 4' goal. Ferran Torres sealed a brace in the 90', along with Fermin Lopez earning his 4th goal of the season in the 48', allowing Barca to close the gap behind Madrid to just 1 point.
Marcus Rashford recovers from the flu from last weekend as he leads his team in the Champions league with 4 goals so far, set to score again anytime today at +290. Raphinha played his first minutes against Bilbao last weekend since suffering a hamstring injury against Real Oviedo on September 25, and he may find playtime tonight as he enters the match at +260 odds to score anytime. Lewandowski comes in as the afternoon's highest probable anytime goal scorer at +120 odds, followed by Ferran Torres at +150 and Lamine Yamal at +215.
Chelsea have risen from the ashes to 2nd place in the Premier League since their rocky start to the season. They now find themselves rolling with 4 wins in their last 5 games in all competitions, only drawing Qarabag FK 2-2 in the Champions League on November 5. The Blues last match concluded 2-0 over Burnley on away grounds with Pedro Neto netting his 4th goal of the season in the 37' to break the ice. Enzo Fernandez also scored his 4th of the season in the 88' to give the insurance goal for Chelsea's 3rd clean sheet in a row in the EPL.
Chelsea winger Estevao Willan leads the way for his team on the charts with 2 goals so far in the Champions League, and he's due for another goal this match anytime at +280 odds. Liam Delap enters the fray as the team's highest probable goal scorers at +180 odds, followed by Joao Pedro at +215.
The Chelsea Blues are the slight favorites on the afternoon, set to win at +135 odds at home turf. Stamford Bridge may play a role in this fixture, although Barcelona are still +175 contenders that average nearly 3 goals a game with 36 goals in 13 matches in La Liga. A draw could occur at +300, although not likely with Barcelona scoring and allowing so many goals. An over/under 3.5 goals is a close call, with -105 for the over and -120 for the under. However, Chelsea have scored 7 goals in their last 3 games, and Barca have scored 11 goals in their last 3 games, which hints toward a likely over 3.5 for today.
