Team that have qualified for the FIFA 2026 World Cup so far

FIFA 2026 World Cup Qualifiers continues with European and CONCACAF games throughout the week.


The 2022 Qatar World Cup involved a total of 32 qualified teams. This year (2026) the number of teams expanded to 48, which is a massive increase to the overall number of nations participating in FIFA 2026 World Cup.


The 3 host nations of USA, Canada, and Mexico have qualified. Asia has completed qualification with 8 teams, Africa with 9, Oceania with 1, South America with 6, Europe with 3, and CONCACAF with 1, leading for a total of 31 teams to have sealed a World Cup spot as of late


So far only New Caledonia (Oceania) and Bolivia (South America) have qualified for the Intercontinental-playoff tournament, while we wait for European (16 teams) and CONCACAF (3 teams) qualifiers to conclude to determine the remaining spots in automatic World Cup qualification as well as the 4 remaining slots for the Intercontinental-playoffs.


Qualified World Cup Teams

So far, only 31 teams have fully qualified, including the 3 host nations. European and CONCACAF games ensue this week, with nations such as Belgium, Honduras, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, and Switzerland seeking a qualification slot.


Here are all the teams that have qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup so far as of November 14, 2025.

Portugal was defeated 2-0 by Ireland (Nov 13) and will need to win their next match against Armenia to secure a World cup spot.


Honduras recently lost 2-0 to Nicaragua, delaying their immediate qualification to the World Cup, which can still be earned with a victory over Costa Rica on Nov 18.


The Netherlands are likely to qualify with a win today (Nov 14) over Poland.


Germany will need to beat Luxembourg today (Nov 14), and avoid defeat in their final match against Slovakia to guarantee them a spot.


Belgium will likely qualify with a win over Kazakhstan on Nov 15.


Spain will likely qualify with a win or draw against Georgia on Nov 15, as long as Turkey does not defeat Bulgaria.


Switzerland needs a win over Sweden on Nov 15 and a draw or loss from Kosovo, or, if Switzerland draws Sweden, Kosovo must lose against Slovenia.


Austria can still qualify with a win against Cyprus on Nov 15, although they'll need Bosnia & Herzegovina to fail to win against Romania.
