Inter Milan win 3 straight in Serie A to take 1st place with their most recent 2-0 victory over Lazio.
Inter Milan
Inter Milan have had a triumphant last 2 weeks of football as they enter the break at the top of Serie A (24 points) and UEFA Champions League (12) points. Lazio came to challenge the Milan giants at the San Siro, yet failed to net a single goal, as Inter Milan opened the scoring in just the 3' with a far post strike from Lautaro Martinez. More goals would have to wait until the 2nd half, where Serie A Rising Star of the Month Ange-Yoan Bonny added the insurance goal in the 62' to help Inter take the game 2-0. Inter now enter the international break in 1st place over Roma by goal differential, but are tied with 24 points.
Roma
Roma will be pleased with their recent performance before reaching the break, as their 2-0 win over Udinese puts them at 2nd place and tied for points (24) with Inter. The Yellow and Reds waited an entire 42' before being awarded their 1st goal, which was a penalty scored by Lorenzo Pellegrini. About 20 minutes later Mehmet Zeki Celik netted a goal in the 61', allowing Roma to see out a shutout victory with 11 shots, 4 on target and 57% possession.
Napoli
Napoli dropped points for the 2nd time in two games after drawing Como 0-0 on November 1st. They've only scored 1 goal in their last 4 games in all competitions, and are amidst a growing offensive crisis. Their lack of finishing showed this weekend with a 2-0 defeat to Bologna where Thijs Dallinga scored the opener in the 50' only to be followed up by Jhon Lucumi's finish in the 66'. Napoli edged possession by 51% but were ultimately out-classed by Bologna with 11 shots and 4 on target. The win helped Bologna achieve 5th place at the end of match day 11, just 1 point behind Napoli.
The international break begins this week for the European nations to continue qualifications for the FIFA 2026 World Cup. Stick around for Serie A match week 12 which comes back November 22 proceeded by more UEFA Champions League.
