Atletico fluster Inter, Arsenal carry on undefeated in the Champions League

Arsenal are the only team to remain with 5 straight wins (and 0 losses) in the UEFA Champions League with Inter Milan falling victim to Atletico Madrid.


Arsenal vs Bayern Munich



Arsenal fans are in for a treat this season, as the Gunners knocked down one of the biggest international contenders in the UEFA Champions League, Bayern Munich, with an authoritative 3-1 result. The first half finished level 1-1 after Arsenal's Jurrien Timber headed home a 22' goal, only for Bayern's Lennart Karl to equalize in the 32'. After 25 minutes of play in the 2nd half, the Gunner's Noni Madueke tucked home a cross to give his team the lead. In the 77', Gabriel Martinelli sealed the game for the Gunner's (4th goal in the UCL) with a touch past Bayern's Manuel Neuer high up the field, leading to an open net break away goal to send Arsenal to the top of the UCL charts with another 3 points.



Atletico vs Inter Milan



Atletico Madrid inched their way forward on the standings with a huge upset 2-1 win over Inter Milan at their own Metropolitano Stadium. It was a real close bout, with both the Spanish and Italian sides firing off 15+ shots with 6 on target, with Atletico's Julian Alvarez netting his 3rd goal of the competition in the 9', forcing Inter to play catch up most of the game. Inter would strike in 2nd half with a far post finish from Piotr Zielinksi in the 54'. Both keepers Yann Sommer and Juan Musso kept their teams alive for 35 more minutes, until a perfectly served up corner from Atletico's Antoine Griezmann found the head of Jose Maria Gimenez for a 90+3' game winner causing the Spanish side to move to 12th on the standings and dish out Inter's first international loss of the season.


PSG vs Tottenham



Former UCL Champions of PSG fired 5 past Tottenham in a high scoring fixture with 8 exhilarating goals to show for. PSG midfielder Vitinha was the man of the match with a hat trick sealed by a 76' penalty following his cracking equalizer before the half in the 45' and another in the 53'. Tottenham's Richarlison headed home the first goal of the match in the 35' giving the Spurs the lead, while teammate Randai Kolo Muani netted his first of the night in the 50'. Both times the Spurs led, Vitinha equalized, before Paris's Fabian Ruiz gave PSG their first 3-2 lead of the night in the 59'. PSG's Pacho added to the insurance in the 65' in a corner kick scrum, before the Spur's Kolo Muani tucked home his own brace in the 72'. However, Vitinha's 76' penalty kick sealed the 5-3 result for PSG at home Parc des Princes to help reignite their form at 2nd place in the UCL with 12 points.
