Arsenal top the PL - Man City, Liverpool, and Chelsea fall out of the top 4

It may well be Arsenal's year this season, as they push on undefeated in their last 6 EPL matches to lead the Premier League with 22 points. The Gunners held on to a 1-0 lead from Eberechi Eze's first goal of the season in the 39' against Crystal Palace at home Emirates Stadium.



There's now a a 4-point gap to 2nd place Bournemouth who defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0 over the weekend, while Sunderland shocked the league with a 2-1 result at Stamford Bridge over Chelsea to sit at 4th place with 17-points.


It was a rough week for many of the big name English clubs aside from Chelsea, including Liverpool, who lost 3-2 to Brentford on the road this weekend, and Manchester City, who suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat away to Aston Villa.


Liverpool's hopes of chasing their 2nd Premier League title in a row are slipping, as they now record 4 consecutive PL defeats for the first time since February of 2021. The only other 2 clubs with an ongoing 4 game losing streak in the EPL are 17th-place Fulham and 18th-place Nottingham Forest.


In other news, rivals of Manchester United overtook the Reds in 6th place after a convincing 4-2 home victory over Brighton, while Tottenham sit relatively comfortable at 3rd place with 17 points after a crushing 3-0 victory over Everton.
